Wilma Faith (Bunn) Hall

 

Wilma Faith Hall passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022 in Wellsboro., Pa.

She was born in Trout Run, Pa. on April17,1938, the Daughter of Thurlow and Florence (Griswold) Bunn.

She was predeceased by her Loving Husband, Dean after celebrating 56 years of marriage in November 2015.

 

Wilma is survived by her sons, Stephen (Jolene) Hall of Blossburg and David (Dawn) Hall of Montoursville. Grandchildren, Erin (Eric) Melaychuk of Danville, Emily (Mike) Hull of West Chester, Pa., Michael (Kaitlyn) Hall of Bloomsburg, Pa. and Marissa Hall of Williamsport Pa. Great Grandchildren Lionel Hull, Onalea Hull and Ayra Hall. Sister Joyce Evans of Powahaten Virginia and Brother Roger (Susan) Bunn of Blossburg,  and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by Sister Dolores Wesneski.

 

Wilma was a graduate of Blossburg Joint High School in 1956 and the Williamsport Hospital School of Nursing in September of 1959. She was employed by the Blossburg State Hospital from 1959 until its closing in 1972. She was then employed by North Penn Comprehensive Health Services in 1973, from 1979 until her retirement in 2000 as the Director of Home Health Agency. While employed in Home Heath she was a member of the National Association of Home Care (NAHC) and a member of the board of directors for the Pennsylvania Association of Home Health Agencies (PAHHA).

 

Wilma served her community as an Active Member of the United Methodist Church in Blossburg since 1953. Served for two terms on the Blossburg Borough Council and a Member of the Board of Directors for the Blossburg Memorial Library, Friends of the library and Book Club. She also served advisory committees of the Laurel Heath System including Laurel Youth Services, The Green Home, Laurel Heath Center and the Patient Safety Committee for the Wellsboro Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.

 

Her greatest pleasures in life included reading, spending time camping at Tanglewood and most of all vacations that included family. Sunrises at many family vacations out of the ocean in the Outer Banks, North Carolina were also very special.

 

Her Husband, Sons and Grandchildren were some of God's greatest gifts to her.

 

Services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 at the Freeberg Funeral Home, 120 N. Williamson Road, Blossburg, Pa. The family will receive guests at 1 pm with the funeral to follow at 2 pm by Pastor Nate Reeve of the United Methodist Church.

 

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the United Methodist Church of Blossburg or the Blossburg Memorial Library.
