Wendy C. Simmons Rakoski

Wendy C. Simmons Rakoski, age 63, of Blossburg, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, at her residence.

Born in Fairfield, CT. she was the daughter of Edmund and Christine Simmons (deceased).

Wendy formerly owned Sturgesbrook Farm, Stony Fork, PA.

She retired after 25 years of service in the Administration Office of the Southern Tioga School District.

Celebrate Wendy’s life by taking a walk on the beach, planting a garden, and spending time with your family.

Surviving Wendy are her husband James Rakoski, Blossburg, children; Amy Sturges-Powell, (husband; Robert) Harrisburg, Laura Rosler (husband; Sean) Harrisburg, Adam Sturges (wife; Danielle) Harrisburg;

step-children; Geoffrey Rakoski  (wife; Jodi) Blossburg, and Gina VanGorden (husnand; Michael), Blossburg; 12 grandchildren; Jillian & Ava Powell,  Catie & Jackie Rosler,  Ella, Mara, & Clara Sturges,  Gavin, Cody & Emily VanGorden,  Sara Rakoski  and Nickolas Coyle;

3 nephews; Adam Simmons, New Milford, CT, Chris Allen, Annandale NJ, Matt Allen, Duboistown, PA.

siblings; Neil Simmons, (wife; Rose), New Milford, CT, Barry Simmons, (wife; Donna), North Haven, CT., and Mary Allen, (husband; James) Duboistown, PA.

Friends will be received Thursday, December 26^th from 6-8p.m. at the Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg.

Funeral Services will be held Friday December 27^th at 10 a.m. from St. Mary of Czestochowa Church, Blossburg, with Rev. Jacek J. Bialkowski officiating; interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Blossburg.
