Victoria (Vicki) Simpson, age 84, died on Sunday, January 14, 2024. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Helen Staron of Blossburg. Vicki is survived by her husband of 64 years, Kenneth (Ken) Simpson, daughter Suzanne Case (Richard), son, David Simpson (Anne Bacon), granddaughters, Ashley Ryan (Jeff), Erin McKay (Casey), and great granddaughters Rachael and Kinley McKay. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers, Joseph and Paul Staron. She was known by family and friends for a great sense of humor. A favorite was the running jokes with friends and family as to whether squirrels are food or not or which way the TP should unroll. Vicki was always busy, reading, bicycling, swimming, and crafting, having won many blue ribbons at the Tioga County Fair. Ken remembers her as hard working, helping to build the family home and custom meat processing business. When asked the secret to a long marriage, she replied, “A fight a day!”, a motto she seemed to live by. Cherishing her wit, humor, and dislike of sappy sentiment are friends and family, with the exception of her surviving brother, Ed.
