Samuel F. Krause

Samuel (Sam) Krause, age 89, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2014. He was born on July 23, 1924 to Bertha and Samuel Krause. Sam always had a ready smile and twinkle in his eye. Sam belonged to the Grange and the Masons for over 50 years. He was an active member of Salem Lutheran Church.

Sam was married to Marie for over 50 years prior to her death in 2003. He is survived by his daughter Susan (Joe) Button of Raleigh, NC and his son Jay (Kelly Darnell) of Lakeland FL.  Two grandchildren Megan (Matthew) Johnson of Hickory NC, and Garrett Button of Raleigh NC also survive him. His son Lee Krause, Liberty, Pa, and sisters Joyce Edwards, Arnot, Pa, Bernice Abbott, Port Charlotte Fl, and Bea Shearer, Horseheads NY preceded him in death.

Friends will be received at Salem-St. Paul Lutheran Church June 7^th from 10 a.m. until time of the memorial service at 11 a.m.  with the Reverend Richard Adams officiating. Sam’s family suggests that any memorials are made to Salem Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 132, Liberty, Pa. 16930
