Ronald R. Bombaski, aged 77 of Covington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully with family at his daughter’s home in Colonial Beach Virginia on May 15th 2024. He is survived by his wife, Carrie (Pequignot) Bombaski who would have celebrated 57 years of marriage on May 20th, two daughters ; Jolie ( Bombaski) Pastore and Jill Bombaski, four grandchildren Alieya, Trevor, Kiya, and Tyson Smith all of whom live in Virginia, four sisters; Barbara Forbush, Carol Bombaski, Pauline Watkins, Janice Kurzejewski and brother Lance Bombaski, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Ron is predeceased by parents Stanley and Viola ( Isaacson) Bombaski, brother Stanley Jr. Bombaski, parents-in-law John and Chleora (Irwin) Pequignot, and brother in law Keith Pequignot.
He was also a friend to many and loved having a beer or two with his buddies. He was a long term member of the Sons of the American Legion in both Morris Run and Blossburg, the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Blossburg, as well as the Arnot Sportsman Club, and the Hillside Rod and Gun Club. When visiting Colonial Beach, he also enjoyed spending time at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the VFW, and the Legion.
Ron was a jack of all trades including owning and operating Ron’s Gulf Station, truck driving, mechanic work, maintenance work, aiding at the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, helping out at the Freeberg Funeral Home, and bartending at the Hamilton Club.
After retiring, Ron frequently visited his daughters and grandchildren in Virginia, Ron would have said that he lived his life the way that he wanted.
