Robert “Bob” Kucharski, 81, of Liberty, passed away at home surrounded by family and friends, Sunday morning, August 7, 2022.
Bob was born on February 21, 1941, in Hackettstown, New Jersey the son of William and Frances Szwaluk Kucharski.
He was a graduate of Hackettstown, N.J. High School and went on to attend Delaware Valley University.
On February 1, 1964, Bob and Katherine Kudlak were united in marriage at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, Great Meadows, N.J.
Bob was a fire chief of Great Meadows N.J. volunteer fire company and one of the founders of Independent Rod and Gun Club, Independent twp. Great Meadows N.J.
A lifelong dream of Bob’s was to own his own farm, a goal he accomplished; he has owned his farm in Liberty for 32 years.
Bob loved hunting and fishing something he has done for over 70 years. He especially looked forward to planning his annual Canadian fishing trip.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 58 years, Katherine, of Liberty are his children; Thomas (Deborah) Kucharski, Hackettstown, N.J., James (Linda) Kucharski, Liberty, Richard (Jennifer) Kucharski, Cazenovia, N.Y., and Karen (Candra) Webster, Williamsport, 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren and other extended family members.
Bob will be laid to rest on his farm with a celebration of life at a later date.
