Robert C. Jones

Robert C. Jones, 69, of Blossburg, PA has passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2016.  He was born in Washington D.C. to David P. and Agnes L (Wilson) Jones.  Bob was a North Penn graduate and was a retired pipe fitter at Osram Sylvania in Wellsboro, PA.  He was also a former Blossburg Mason and member of the Hillside Rod and Gun Club.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Barbara (Sticklin) Jones, daughter Judy (Timothy) Johnston of Mansfield, PA, daughter Loretta (Shawn) Rice of Wellsboro, PA and son Jason (Tabitha) Jones of Blossburg, PA.  His memory will live forever in the hearts of his eight grandchildren.  He is also survived by his only brother, David (Beverly) Jones of Blossburg, PA and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Freeberg  Funeral Home in Blossburg, PA where a visitation has been scheduled for Saturday, January 30, 2016 from 1 pm to 3 pm and a memorial service to begin at 3 pm.  Pastor Harry Colegrove from the Harvest Family Fellowship Church in Liberty, PA will officiate.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Robert Jones’ memory to the Sayre House of Hope, 312 Chemung Street, Sayre, PA 18840.  This facility and staff provided Bob’s family with unconditional support and love multiple times during his battles with cancer.
