Richard H. Phelps

Richard H. Phelps, age 79, of Arnot, passed away at his residence after a long time illness, on October 12, 2016.

Born January 3, 1937 in Nelson he was the son of the late Walter and Marie Graham Phelps.

Richard was a US Navy veteran and was employed as a truck driver and in construction.

He was a member of the following; William B. Wilson American Legion Post # 572, Blossburg; Theodore Roosevelt American Legion Post# 167, Morris Run; Veterans of Foreign Wars Supreme Sacrifice Post# 8730, Blossburg; Hillside Rod and Gun Club, Blossburg, Arnot Sportsmen’s Club; and Moose International.

Richard was an avid fisherman; he especially enjoyed fishing for walleye.

Surviving is his son Richard W. Phelps and his family of Arnot.

Friends and family will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Saturday October 15^th from noon until time of services at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at Arnot Swedish Cemetery.
