Minnie Varner, 89, former resident of Riverside Park of Blossburg, passed away February 20, 2015 at The Wellsboro Green Home. Born June 22, 1925 in Clearfield, PA, she was the daughter of William Robenolt and Catherine (Stere) Robenolt.
She married Francis Varner January 28, 1946, he preceded her in death.
She was a crossing guard for Southern Tioga School District and a housewife.
Minnie was a member of Morris Run Mennonite Church; she was involved in the Share Program, member of Mansfield Senior Center, and Riverside Park Community Center.
Surviving are her children; Carol (Jesse) Seals of Trenton, NJ, Shirley (Andrew) Benson, of Blossburg, Sam (Tammy) Varner of Midlothian, VA, Harry (Mary) Varner of LaGrange, GA.
Grandchildren; Tammy (Wayne) Woodward, of Arnot, Jesse Seals, of NJ., Robert (Debbie) Seals of TX., Danny (Marisa) Seals of NJ., Jeff Benson of Blossburg, Casey (Stephanie) Varner of GA., Rick Varner of VA., Robert (Amanda) Varner of VA. Great-grandchildren; Kaylei, Arika, Hunter, Brianna, Morgan, Victoria, Abagail, Hailey, Lacey, Tommy, Michael, Jake, and Spencer. Siblings; Margaret Harris of Altoona and Alan Robernolt of Hollidaysburg; also by several nieces and nephews. Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son William Varner, siblings; Mable Mcquigg, and Robert Robenolt, and her special grandparents William and Bertha Stere.
Friends will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home Thursday February 26th from 10 a.m. until time of Funeral Services at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ralph Bender officiating. Interment will follow at Elk Run Cemetery, Covington. Luncheon will immediately follow services at the Blossburg Fire Hall.
