Michael “Mike” Bogaczyk, age 57, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday December 7th, 2023, at his home in Wellsboro, PA.
Mike was born on August 23, 1966 to Vincent Jr. and Sandra Bogaczyk. He was raised in Morris Run, PA alongside his three brothers. He was a graduate of North Penn High School in Blossburg, PA. He worked in the woods as a logger for many years and was a master at what he did. Mike spent his later years after leaving the woods living with his loving fiance’ Amanda “Mandi” Davis and their sweet coonhound Brandy. Mike was the devoted father of four children, often telling everyone how proud he was of their accomplishments.
Mike was a passionate and skilled hunter and enjoyed the times spent in the woods with his children and brothers. When enough snow fell you could find him on the back of a Polaris snowmobile speeding down trails from morning into the night. Saturdays in early to mid fall were devoted to watching Penn State football and Sundays were all about NASCAR.
Surviving in addition to his fiance, Mandi, are his brothers Johnathan Bogaczyk and Vincent Bogaczyk III; sister-in-law Sherry Bogaczyk; sons Kurtis (Nicole) Bogaczyk and Chad (Shantel) Bogaczyk; daughters Dominique (Austin) Williams and Rebecca Bogaczyk; nephew Quintin (Jessica) Williams; and grandchildren Tyler, Brendan, Chase, and Isabel.
He was preceded in death by his father Vincent Bogaczyk Jr.; mother Sandra Bogaczyk; brother Anthony “Tony” Bogaczyk; and nephew Ryan Bogaczyk.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at Freeberg Funeral Home in Blossburg PA, Thursday December 14thfrom 5pm to 7pm.
