Margaret "Peg" Carlson

Margaret J. “Peg: Carlson, 84, of Blossburg, died July 27, 2014 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.

Born November 10, 1929 in Sayre, PA., she was the daughter of the late John G. Jenkins and Esther (Neal) Jenkins of Wellsboro. Her husband of 58 years, Edgar A. Carlson, preceded her in death on June 24, 2008.

Peg was a member of the Siloa Lutheran Church, Morris Run. She was also a life member of The Mary Wells Chapter No. 452 Order of Eastern Star.

Family and home came first in Peg’s life. She will always be remembered as a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister.

Surviving are three children, James (Jeanie) Carlson of Blossburg, Ann Lee (Ronald) Strong of Morris Run, and Janis (Gary) Glenn of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren; Jennifer Simons, Eric Strong, Rex Coulter, Sarah Murray, Rachel Carlson and Brandon Carlson; a great-grandson, Jacob Simons, and a sister, Florence B. Gray.

In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a sister, Betty B. Kuzneski.

Calling hours will be Wednesday, July 30^th at Siloa Lutheran Church, Morris Run from 10 a.m. until 12 p.m.  A service by the Eastern Star will be held at 11:45 a.m. Funeral service will be held at 12 noon, officiating will be her pastor Rev. Raymond D. Forsythe. Interment will follow at Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg. Memorial donation may be directed to Siloa Lutheran Church, PO Box 125, Morris Run, PA 16939.
