Marcile "Marcie" Faughnan

Marcile “Marcie” Faughnan, 83, of Blossburg, passed away Saturday, April 19, 2014 at the Carleton Home, Wellsboro. Born at home July 22, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Mattie Clark Niles.

She retired as custodian from Mansfield University, after 21 years of service.

She was a member of Lambs Creek Church; she attended the First United Methodist Church, Blossburg.

Marcie loved to bake, she was best known for her delicious brownies and lemon delights.

She enjoyed family outings and camping. Marcie never missed her son Billy driving his race car.

Marcie is survived by a daughter Kathy Pearson, Blossburg; sons; William and wife Sally Faughnan, Covington; Raymond and wife Tina Faughnan, Blossburg; and David and wife Lisa Faughnan, Blossburg; sisters; Dorothy “Jeanie” Faughnan, VA., and Reva and husband James Hall, Mansfield; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by son Robert Faughnan in 1965, a brother and 3 sisters.

Friends and family may call Tuesday April 22, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg, from 2-4p.m. funeral services will follow at 4p.m. with Rev. Michele Somerville officiating. Interment will take place at the Swedish  Lutheran  Cemetery, Arnot. Memorial donations may be directed to Matthew 25 Food Pantry, or to the Book of Memory, PO Box 17, Blossburg, PA 16912.
