Mabel Krause

Mabel Krause, age 101, of Blossburg, passed away Saturday March 14, 2015, at the Green Home, Wellsboro.

Born in Camal, PA, January 16, 1914, she was the daughter of Grover and Pearl Holt Stradley.

She  was a graduate of the Wellsboro High School.

Mabel was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Krause Sr., in 1963

 She was the owner operator of Blossburg Dairy Store.

Mabel was a member of the United Methodist Church, Blossburg, past president of Business and Professional Women, and the Mary Wells Chapter of Eastern Star. She was also very active as a Senior Center volunteer.

Mabel is survived by sons; Allen (MaryAnn) Krause of Greece, NY, and William (Judith) Krause of Blossburg, a sister Ada Johnson of Wellsboro, daughters-in-law; Alice Krause of Hemlock, NY ,and Dorothy Krause of Blossburg, also several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband Neil Sr. Mabel was preceded in death by sons; Kenneth, Edgar, and Neil Jr.

Friends will be received Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the United Methodist Church, Blossburg, from 10 a.m. until 11a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michele Somerville, officiating; interment at Arbon Cemetery.
