Leroy Reed

Leroy Reed, 82, formerly of Liberty, passed away Saturday May, 17th at his residence in Wellsboro. Born November 11, 1931 he was the son of the late Fred and Edna Reed.

Leroy married Joyce Repard in 1965.

A U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and was the former owner of Repard Septic Service.

He was a member of Liberty Lutheran Church, and Liberty Fire Dept. for 48 years, 15 of which he was the fire chief.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 48 years, Joyce Reed ,is son John Reed, PA., Ruthie Mase, PA., Vivian Hornsby, VA., Debra Stubblefield, TX., and Penny Dowen, VT.; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, and 7 siblings; Fred, Dan, James, Carl, Ralph, Elma, and Betty , also by a special young man, Terry Loudenslager Jr. He was predeceased by 4 siblings; Francis, Marcella, Helen, and Gerald.

Friends may call Tuesday, May 20th at Liberty Lutheran Church, Liberty, from 4p.m. until time of service at 7p.m. with Rev. Richard Adams officiating. The Liberty Vol. Fire Co. service will follow the funeral service.
