Obituary

 

 

 

Lawrence E. “Larry” Lowry, 85, of Mansfield, formerly a 30-year resident of Sullivan Twp. passed away Saturday, June 18, 2022.

Larry was a “Christmas Baby” being born December 25, 1936 in Philadelphia to Harry and Sophia Stark Lowry.

He was an Air Force Veteran, and was employed as a Deputy Sheriff in Philadelphia.

Larry and his wife Edna attended the Arcadia Theater in Wellsboro every Wednesday for over 20 years. He truly enjoyed his cabin on 18 acres in Sullivan Twp., where he would watch all of the animals, including deer and bear, and a turkey which he could hand feed. He enjoyed watching boxing and golf on TV and he loved to garden.

Larry is survived by his wife Edna; children, Ann, Denise, and Larry Jr.; step-children, Joe, Bob, Paul, and Cathy; sister Sandy; 12 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by brothers John and Harry.

The family would like to thank the nursing staff of The Green Home for the excellent care given Larry

 Memorial services will be held at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made to the Tioga Co. Cat Project, PO Box 160, Elkland, PA 16920.
