Kenneth B. Quail

Kenneth B. Quail, 93, from Shunk, PA /Rochester, NY   passed away peacefully on May 3rd, 2025, at Sherwood Care Home in Canton, PA.

Son of Jesse and Pearl Quail, Ken lived in Shunk, PA until his early 20’s. He worked the farm and cut timber there.

He moved to Rochester, NY where he meet his first wife Charlotte. They adopted two sons, Ken and Greg.

He worked at Gleason Works for 37 years.

He loved camping and spending time with family.

He traveled back to Shunk to share that farm life with his boys too. He was a member of Emanuel UCC; and also a member of the Shunk UMC.

When his wife Charlotte passed away, he retired and moved back to Shunk, PA. and married his second wife Phyllis. They had many good years together. They traveled to many places, enjoyed bowling and time with family.

He survived by his wife Phyllis: sons, Ken (Barb) and Greg. Six grandchildren, Shannan (Joe), Shawn, Kevin, Kirstie (Jason), Steven (Amanda), and Shelby (Stone). Five great- grandchildren, Mikaela, Zoe, Jameson, Teagan and Declan. Brothers, Wayne (Linda),Dan (Dora), and Delbert. Sisters, Edie (Ken) and Beverly and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his first wife Charlotte, daughter-in-law Sally. Brothers Jimmy, Ellery, Earl and Roger. Sisters, Ruth, Vera, Elva, Pauline, Elda, Judy, Fietta and Sylvia. And many nieces and nephews.

He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will surely be missed by all.

A celebration of Life service will be held at Endless Winds Fire Hall in Shunk, PA.  Saturday, May 31st, 2025 at 1:00 p.m.
