Kathryn Holton

Age 88 of Shumway Hill Road, Wellsboro, PA, died Saturday, November 29, 2014.  Born January 03, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Frances Bogaczyk.  Kathryn (Kosh) was born in Covington and lived her life in Tioga County.  Kathryn was a former member of American Legion 572, VFW Post 6757, and the Women of the Moose.  She will be remembered for her quick wit, incredible sense of humor, caring heart and her love for her family. Kathryn is survived by sons, Jack Holton, John (Bobbie) Holton and daughters, Kim (John) Burnett and Roberta (Skip) Holton; grandchildren Lara (William) Rogers and Jill (Eric) Sauermelch; sisters, Martha Bastian, Blossburg, Louise Mitchell, Apalachin, NY, and brother Thomas (Wanda) Bogaczyk, Blossburg; sisters-in-law Frances Bogaczyk and Glenda Bogaczyk and numerous nieces and nephews.  Preceding Kathryn in death were brothers: Frank, Stanley, Anthony, Ambrose, Jacob, Charles and James. Friends and family will be received at the Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Thursday, December 4th, from 6-8 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 5th from St. Mary's of Czestochowa Church, Blossburg, at 10 a.m. with Father Jacek J. Bialkowski as celebrant.  Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation in her name to Country Terrace/Broad Acres Activities Fund, Shumway Hill Road, Wellsboro, Pennsylvania 16901.
