Karen E. Harbold

Karen E. Harbold, 66, of Morris Run, passed on Wednesday, January 08, 2014, at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.

Born on July 21, 1947 in Blossburg, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Dorothy McDermett Carey.

Karen   and her husband, Mervin Harbold, have celebrated thirty-five years of marriage.

Surviving Karen in addition to her husband Mervin are her four children; Alice (Jonathan) Gilbert, Dawn Makley, Denise (Mark) Flack, and Amy (Robb) Bowens; six step-children; David (Trudy) Harbold, Darlene (Chuck) Miller, Carol Bricker, Mervin (Danielle) Harbold Jr., Michael Harbold, and Melissa Harbold; thirty-five grandchildren and thirty-one great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings; Jean “Sis” Cohick, Glenda Sherant, Peggy Davis, Donna “Darlene” Peffer, and Carol “Butch” Chamberlain.   Karen was preceded in death by grandson Robert Bowens III, siblings Joseph Carey, Lois “Tiny” Wandell, Debbie Herlocher, and Richard “Dick” Carey.

Friends will be received Friday, January 10th, at the Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, from 5-8p.m.

Funeral services will be held from the funeral home Saturday, January 11th at 11 a.m. with Rev. Raymond Forsythe officiating. Interment will follow at Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
