Joyce Marlene (Hemenway) Schultz, 88, of Blossburg, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 12th at The Green Home, Wellsboro. Her medical condition called her home to heaven.
She was born April 28, 1937, in Grover, the daughter of Hess and Rosemary (Wright) Hemenway.
On September 10, 1955, Joyce married Roger Vernon Schultz, who predeceased her in January 2021. Together they raised seven amazing children.
Joyce was a very loving and caring person who always opened her home to everyone and was known for being an exceptional cook. She was a woman who had a strong faith in God which she shared with her family and friends.
In her working life, she cared for others and later owned a personal care home which provided a welcoming place for those she cared for.
Joyce was loved by five generations. She is survived by her children, Robert Schultz of Mansfield, Rhonda (Rick) Mosher of Tioga, son in law Mark Malone of Canton, Ryan (Karen) Schultz of Blossburg, Rebecca Schultz of Blossburg, Rex Schultz (Kim Purdy) of Spencer, NY, Rosalie (John) Heath of Gillette, PA. She was loved by her 14 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, one great-great grandson, one great-great granddaughter, her sister-in-law, Geraldine Hemenway. and several nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Hess and Rosemary Hemenway, by her in-laws Clarence and Grace Schultz, a daughter, Roxanne Malone, a grandson, Jacob Malone, her brothers Roy and Wesley Hemenway.
On Monday, November 17th friends and family are invited to a celebration of her life at 12:00 at the Grover Church of Christ in Grover, PA followed by the funeral at 1:00. The committal service will be held immediately after at the Beech Flats Cemetery, Canton, PA
