John J. Nowakowski

John J. Nowakowski, age 46, of Blossburg, passed away Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Williamsport Hospital. John was born in Blossburg on December 6, 1968, the son of the late Raymond and Virginia Hodder Nowakowski.

John enjoyed hunting and fishing, he was a member of the Arnot Sportsman’s Club and Blossburg Fire and Ambulance Association. John was well known and often seen taking care of all the people of Blossburg.

Surviving John are his children; Megan Larnerd, Abbagail and Landon Nowakowski, his sister Kathy (Luke) Tanner, Blossburg, brother Joseph Nowakowski, Wellsboro, sister-in-law Sandy Nowakowski, Liberty, several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. His best buddy Eben Woodward, Mansfield, and “the love of his life” Hailey Wood, Blossburg. He was preceded in death by his brother Paul Nowakowski.

Family and friends will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Wednesday, July 8th from 5-8p.m. Funeral services will be held Thursday July 9th at 11 a.m. from the funeral home with Rev. Michele Somerville, officiating. Interment will in Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
