John F. Levandoski
John Francis Levandoski, 77, of Blossburg, died on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at UPMC Williamsport. Born on December 22, 1944, he was a son of the late Andrew and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Levandoski.
John graduated from North Penn High School and the Rochester Business Institute (RBI) with a major in accounting. He proudly served in the US Navy prior to receiving his degree. He worked as an accountant in Punxsutawney for a time before moving home to Blossburg, where he worked at Ward Manufacturing until his retirement.
Johnny was an excellent bowler and fisherman. Trout would practically hop into his bucket. He also enjoyed hunting rabbit and squirrel, and volunteering at the Blossburg food bank. He was a frequent blood donor, could have easily been a contestant on Jeopardy, was a member of the Blossburg United Methodist Church, the Hillside Rod and Gun Club, the Morris Run American Legion, and the VFW.
Besides his parents, John was preceded in death by a nephew and brother-in-law. He is survived by his twin sister, Jo Ann Shinn, of Liberty; brother Michael (Sharon) of Wellsboro; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including special niece Romy (Frank) Piccolella, of Liberty. John also leaves behind many, many friends, especially close friends Claude and Marlene Christman, of Blossburg. All services will be private.
