James Bradley Stratton 64 of Liberty PA passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by family on Saturday September 6, 2025. Born on April 5, 1961, in Blossburg, PA, Jim was the son of the late Carl and Dora (Messenger) Stratton. He attended Elkland school and graduated in 1979.
Jim was employed at AJ’S Outdoor Power Equipment for 18 years and then took a position with Rakoski Automotive (Napa) as an Operations Manager.
An avid outdoorsman, Jim found joy in nature whether he was hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s, planting food plots, cutting firewood, evening rides to look for wildlife or just enjoying sitting around a campfire listening to music. Jim enjoyed road trips and antiquing with Mimi and Moe, and of course the search for the elusive Bigfoot.
Jim was a lifetime auxiliary member at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6755 in Liberty PA and an auxiliary member at the American Legion Post 572 in Blossburg PA.
He is survived by beloved fiancé Melissa Boyer and her two boys Tyler Boyer of Ogdensburg PA and Bryce Boyer of Liberty PA, stepsons Patrick Lindquist (Kara) of Liberty PA and Zachary Lindquist of Cherry Flats PA, grandchildren David Lee Lindquist, Grey Lindquist, Camden Lindquist, Colebren Lindquist, Jace Lindquist, and Dean Lindquist, sisters Shirley Stratton of Ephrata PA, Susie Downes (Patrick) of Raleigh NC, brothers Larry Stratton of Creedmoor NC, And Tim Stratton( partner Karen Sue Burris) of Cherry Flats PA, several nieces and nephews and a special cousin Tammy Foster Stratton (Beaner) of San Antonio TX.
Jim was predeceased by his parents Carl and Dora (Messenger) Stratton and a brother Carl Jr. Stratton.
Jim's family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to UPMC in Williamsport (4 West Rehab) and Wellsboro Hospice.
In keeping with Jim’s wishes there will be no services.
Your passing leaves a void in the lives of those who knew you, but your legacy and memory will continue to inspire and motivate us to live our lives to the fullest. Rest in Peace Jim
