Florence (Royer) Harmic

Florence L. Royer Harmic, age 79, of Liberty, formerly of Clearfield, went to be with The Lord

Thursday, December 9, 2021, at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center in Wellsboro.

Born March 22, 1942, in Clearfield she was one of five children of the late Alfred and Mildred Laird Royer.

On August 26, 1963, Florence and Thomas Harmic were united in marriage.

 Before her retirement Florence was employed as an accountant for several car dealerships.

She was a member of St. Paul’s Nauvoo United Methodist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and was very active in Liberty Ladies Quilting Group.

Florence is survived by her Husband Pastor Thomas Harmic of Liberty, daughters; Renee’ (Timothy) Gates, Liberty, Bobbi (Paul) Shields, Blossburg, and Robin (Gregory) Purdy, Liberty, a daughter Melissa Myers preceded her in death. Also surviving is a son-in-law Richard Myers, Mt. Wolf, grandchildren; David (Christie) Harmic, Stacey (Hugh) Parsons, Richie Myers, Catie Shields, Ali Shields, and Addison Gates. Great-grandchildren; Amelia Harmic and Evelynn Harmic. Brothers; Leo Royer and Raymond (Susan) Royer, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceding Florence in death in addition to her parents and daughter Melissa were a brother and sister.

Family and friends will be received Wednesday, December 15th at St. Paul’s Nauvoo United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. -11 a.m. Memorial services will follow at 11 a.m. with Sue Heyler, Lay Speaker, officiating. Additional services will be held   Thursday, December 16th at Spring Valley United Methodist Church, West Decatur, Pa.  Visitation from 1:00 -2:00 service at 2:00. Sue Heyler officiating. Interment will be made at Stoneville Cemetery, Clearfield County.
