Elizabeth Hensel

Elizabeth Hensel, 95, of Arnot, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2015. Born June 11, 1920. She was the daughter of Hugh and Myra Lawson.

Elizabeth graduated from North Penn High School and the Goodwing School of Business in Williamsport. She was employed as a secretary by the J.P. Ward Foundries until she retired. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Arnot Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday school for over forty years. She loved visiting with her friends and family, reading the Bible, watching Penn State Football and the New York Yankees and she loved doing Word Searches.

Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Joseph; her brothers, Hugh, Wesley, and John; her sisters, Ida Mae Lawson, and Marion Felte, and a nephew, Ronald Lawson. She is survived by a sister-in-law Maxine Lawson, a step-daughter, Alene Pelkey, and a step-son, Joseph Hensel.

She has several nieces, nephews, and step-grandchildren.

A funeral service to celebrate Elizabeth will be held on Tuesday, June 30^th. At 2 p.m. from Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg. Friends will be received from 12 noon until 2 p.m. time of service.

Interment will be at Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Arnot Presbyterian Church, P.O. 71, Arnot, PA 16954
