Edwin "Zeke" Isaacson Jr.

Edwin “Zeke” Isaacson Jr., 95, of Blossburg, passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at the Carleton Home, Wellsboro.

Zeke was born June 1,1925, the son of Edwin and Hildur Swanson Isaacson Sr.

On October 16, 1948 Zeke married Mary Lou Kreger, she preceded him in death on November 30,2019.

Zeke was a WW ll army veteran serving in Germany and France.

He was a retired manger of North Penn Gas.

Zeke was a life member of Siloa Lutheran Church, Morris Run, a Mason of Bloss Lodge #350, the Wheel Inn, where he and wife Mary enjoyed many dinners, served 8 years as Blossburg Mayor, a 20-year Blossburg Borough Counsel member, past member of Blossburg Ambulance, treasure of the Salvation Army and Board Member of Tioga County Industrial Authority.

Surviving are three sons and their wives; Edwin and Mary Ellen Isaacson lll, of Pottstown, James and Valerie Isaacson of Blossburg, and John and Debora Isaacson of Windfield. A sister Beverly Jacobson, of Wellsboro, eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Zeke was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son Randy Lee Isaacson and sister Alberta “Ollie” Shaffer.

A private funeral service for  family will be held at Siloa Lutheran Church with Rev. Sandra Olson officiating. Interment will take place at Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
