David A. Jones, 75, of Blossburg, PA, passed away peacefully on April 17, 2023 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro, PA. He was born on January 29, 1948 Garfield Memorial Hospital, Washington, DC.
David graduated from North Penn High School in 1966. He had a successful career as an Electrician and Control Service Specialist for over 30 years at Osram Sylvania in Wellsboro.
David is survived by his beloved wife Beverly Jones and was a loving father to his children Heidi Jones of Buffalo, NY, Joshua (Wendy Campbell) Jones, and grandchildren Ronan and Aiden Jones of Blossburg, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents David Paul Jones and Agnus (Wilson) Jones, and his brother Robert Jones.
In his free time, David enjoyed gardening, carpentry, reading, and working on the Blossburg.org website David was a prolific reader and consumed many books from the Blossburg Memorial Library. David was a dedicated member of Sleezy Construction and Barbeque, helping to raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for local community organizations through the decades of service cooking chickens on Saturday mornings. He was a Brother and Past Master of Bloss Lodge No. 350 F&AM, and also a life member of the Hillside Rod & Gun Club and Wheel Inn.
David will be deeply missed by his family and friends, who remember him as a kind and generous man who was always ready to lend a hand. His legacy of hard work, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those who knew him.
In honor of David’s wishes, there will be no funeral services. Memorial donations can be made to the Blossburg Memorial Library, Blossburg, PA.
