Charles M. “Chuck” Brazda, 80, of Blossburg, passed away Tuesday May 13, 2014 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro.
Born in Blossburg on February 10, 1934, he was the son of Dr. Daniel and Gladys Munro Brazda.
Chuck married Shirley VanAuken June 23, 1962, she survives.
He was well known as a Mac tool salesman for 20 plus years; he then worked for Napa Auto Parts.
In Chuck’s younger years he enjoyed hunting and fishing; he lived and breathed his many friends in Blossburg and the surrounding communities; he took pleasure in traveling Blossburg on his electric scooter. Above all he was proud of and loved his family.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg, Blossburg Firemen’s and Ambulance Association for 61 years, and Masonic Lodge no. 350 Blossburg for 56 years.
Surviving in addition to his wife of 51 years, Shirley of Blossburg, are his daughters; Christina (Terry) Levandoski and their son Charlie of Tampa FL., Cynthia (Michael) Garau of Louisville, KY, and Catherine (David) Martin and their sons Jakob and Austin of Knoxville, TN. Also are nephews and nieces; Steven McNamara, Elmira, NY, Elizabeth McNamara, Lutz, FL, Melissa (Rob) Johnson, Hector, NY, Mary McNamara ,NY, Frank (Shelly) Relja, OK, and, Lydia(William) Bond, MO. A sister-in-law Charlotte Relja, OK also survives. He was preceded in death by a sister Elizabeth McNamara
Friends will be received Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church; Blossburg from 1 p.m. -3 p.m. Services will follow at 3 p.m. with Rev. Michele Somerville officiating.
