Bonnie R. “Sal” Casselberry, 87, of Covington, went home with her Heavenly family Wednesday, January 27, 2016.
She was born August 31, 1928 in Warren, PA, the daughter of the late John and Elizabeth Wakely.
“Sal” was married to William Labuski, he preceded her in death; she later married William Casselberry, who also preceded her in death.
Before her retirement she was a nursing home aide.
She was a member of Holy Child Church, Mansfield, and The Red Hat Society of Blossburg. She was an avid Penn State Football fan.
She was very much a beloved mother and grandmother.
Surviving are her children; Susan Womer of Arizona, Lou Labuski Brown of Mechanicsburg, and Michael (Donna) Casselberry of Covington; grandchildren; Brandon, Marissa, Tiffany, Danielle, Michael, and William, great-grandchildren; Madeline, Patrick, Abigail, Tristen, Brooks, and Grant, and a sister Mary Cooper, of Blossburg. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by a daughter Vicki Lynn Casselberry and brothers; James Wakely and John Wakely.
Family and friends will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Sunday, January 31st from 6-8p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated, Monday February 1 at 10 a.m. from Holy Child Church, Mansfield with Rev. Bryan Wright as celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Andrew’s Cemetery, Blossburg.
The family will provide the flowers. Memorial donations may be made in “Sal’s” memory to The American Cancer Society, Tioga Unit, 1948 E. Third St. Williamsport, PA 17701 or to Mansfield Food Pantry.
