Beverly Mase, age 86, of Liberty, went to be with her Lord Tuesday March 2,2021 while at the Gatehouse, Williamsport.
Bev was born in Liberty February 26, 1935, one of seven children to Ernest and Ruth Mase Yoder.
On October 7, 1953, at the parsonage of the United Brethren Church, Liberty, she married Lawrence Mase. He survives and lives in Liberty.
As owner of Mase Agway store in Liberty, she and her husband Larry could be seen working side by side.
Bev was a member of Ebenezer East Point United Methodist Church.
In her family she was greatly appreciated for organizing the annual Yoder Scramble Golf Tournament. All family members were invited those who played golf and those who did not. After the tournament concluded, trophies were given, several being hand crafted by Bev. Then it was off the Bev’s and Larry’s home where a feast was enjoyed, often by more than 50 people. In addition to planning and organizing the golf tournament, she enjoyed playing golf with Larry and with the ladies’ golf league. She also enjoyed bowling.
Surviving in addition to her husband are her sister Elanor Hamilton, and brother Arnold Yoder, both of Broad Acres, Wellsboro, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and sisters-in-law. Preceding her in death were her parents and siblings; Charles Yoder, Mary Rogers, Esther Raker and Ray Yoder.
A viewing for friends and family will be held at East Point United Methodist Church, East Point, on Saturday, March 6, 2021 from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 3 p.m. with Pastor Tom Harmic officiating. Interment will take place at Union Cemetery at a later date. Donations may be directed to East Point Church, P.O.
