Betty L. (Ogden) Johnson, 98, of Blossburg, passed away March 13, 2025.
Born in Blossburg on December 1, 1926, she was the daughter of Alfred and Letty Nickerson Ogden.
Betty married Howard “Mack” Johnson November 12,1955 they enjoyed 49 years of marriage until his passing June 20,2005.
Betty was a lifetime member of the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg where she served as a Lay Speaker, Lay Leader, and membership secretary and was a member of the Friendship Circle.
She was a life member of the Blossburg V.F.W. Auxiliary and life member of Hillside Rod and Gun Club.
Betty was the last surviving member of her family.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Sam) Ponda of Blossburg.
Sons; Howard (Donna) Johnson of Texas, Keith (Diane) Johnson of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Kenneth “Percy” (Paula) Johnson of Blossburg.
Surviving grandchildren; Lauren (Chad) Barnes, Kimberly (Ryan) Warren, Stephanie Johnson, Megan Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Deron (Christina) Johnson and Corey (Mackenzie) Johnson.
Great-grandchildren include, Paityn Barnes, Rykar, Kaine, Macklan, and Ridge Warren, Abbie Johnson and one expected in June.
Very special niece and nephew Betty Lou and Henry” Gomer” Bartlett, also her very special friends of the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg.
Preceding Betty in death in addition to her husband “Mack” were her brothers; Robert, Howard ”Bowser”, Harold “Hank”, Ralph “Rusty” and Norman “Scoop” Ogden. And her sisters; Mildred Johnson and Genevive Murphy.
Friends and family will be received at the First United Methodist Church, Blossburg Friday March 28th from 10:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 a.m.
