Agnes Fleming Kuster

Agnes Fleming Kuster of Hermitage, formerly of Blossburg, PA, passed away peacefully following a brief illness at 4:43 p.m. Tuesday (6/24/14) in her residence.  She was 94.

Mrs. Kuster was born November 8, 1919, in Arnot, PA (Tioga County), a daughter of John W. and Frances Keagle Fleming.  Following her graduation from Arnot High School, she was employed as a bookkeeper and secretary for Ward Foundries in Blossburg.          

Her husband of 60 years, John G. Kuster, whom she married June 18, 1941, passed away November 4, 2001.

Agnes was an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Blossburg and its Friendship Circle.

She was an exceptional homemaker and enjoyed gardening, cooking and decorating her home.   

She is survived by: a son, Thomas W. Kuster and his wife Mitzi, Hermitage; a daughter, Ann K. Milliard, also Hermitage; four grandchildren, Andrew T. Kuster and his wife Thessica, Englewood, Colorado; Abbey Kuster Prokell and her husband Jamie, Maplewood, NJ; Allison M. Bellevue and her husband Ruyter, Abington, Mass.; and John D. Milliard and Amanda Fry, Coudersport, PA; and five great grandchildren, Demi & Kaz Kuster; Pele and Watts Prokell; and Lucas Brian Bellevue.

Besides her husband, Agnes was preceded in death by a son, John G. Kuster, Jr.; a grandson, Brian H. Kuster; and a brother, Charles W. Fleming.

Agnes’s family would like to thank Claudia Finlaw, her caregiver; Family Hospice and Palliative Care; and Home Instead for their excellent care during her illness.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contribution be made to Family Hospice and Palliative Care, 1965 Shenango Valley Freeway, Hermitage, PA  16148

Services:  A private service will be held in Blossburg.

Interment:  Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
