Wm. Clyde Bishop

Wm. Clyde Bishop, 76, of Farm Rd. Roaring Branch, passed away Thursday, March 1, 2018, in Lancaster.

Born August 23, 1941 in Doylestown, he was the son of Herman S. and Ida Mae (Myers) Bishop (both deceased).

On August 31, 1963 Clyde married the former Frances Frey.

Clyde had been employed by a machine shop as a drill press operator.

He was a member of the Liberty Lutheran Parish where he served on church council; he was a member of Lions Club and PA Holstein Club.

Clyde was a farmer at heart, but a tractor accident at the age of 14, left him a paraplegic, ending his plans of being a farmer. He was fiercely independent; he amazed family and friends by what he could do. He was a caring and loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 54 years, Frances Bishop, children; Mark Allen Bishop and Jill Renee Bishop Cooper, sisters; Peggy (Edward) Hardy, Lois (Warren) Buckman, Mary Jane (Robert) Cerone, and Joyce (Donald) Jones, brothers; Herman (Marianne) Bishop and Walter (Patti Ann) Bishop, grandchildren; Nicholas Cooper, Emily Cooper, Mark Bishop Jr., and Simone Bishop, and numerous nephews and nieces.

Family and friends will be received at Liberty Lutheran Church, Liberty, Saturday, March 10^th from 11a.m. until 12 noon. Services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Richard Adams officiating. A luncheon will follow the services.
