Marian Reese Lindquist, age 90, of Blossburg, wife of the late Robert Lindquist, has gone to be with her family that has gone before her on December 9, 2018, while surrounded by her loving family.
She was born in Blossburg to the late David and Jeanette (Haddow) Reese.
She graduated in 1946 from the former Blossburg High School. She was employed over forty years by Ward Manufacturing as an office employee.
She had been a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church, Blossburg also lifelong member of Arnot Sportsman Club, Hillside Rod and Gun and, Veterans of Foreign Wars Supreme Sacrifice Post #8730, Auxiliary. She was also auxiliary member of William B. Wilson American Legion Post#572, Blossburg and Theodore Roosevelt American Legion Post#167, Morris Run.
She loved camping, her needle work, and game of solitaire and word search.
Marian is survived by a son, Richard (Susan) Naylor, Mansfield; daughters, Jeanette Carey, Blossburg, and Susan (Walter) Morgan, Canton; son Garry Naylor and his special friend Joanne, Ithaca; grandchildren, Brian, Rich, Paula, Pam, Danny, Keith, Kevin, Melissa, Sean and Shalane; 17 great-grandchildren; also by special friends, Roger and Susan Bunn, Maria Finch, and Vernie Nybeck.
In addition to her parents and husband, Robert Lindquist, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Henry Naylor; son-in-law Richard Carey, sisters,Margaret Page and Dorothy Jones.
Friends and family may call Wednesday, December 12, 2018 from 5-7 p.m. at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg; Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Elizabeth Jackson officiating. Interment will be in Arbon Cemetery, Blossburg.
The family will provide the flowers and requests any donations be directed to Blossburg First United Methodist Church or the Blossburg Library.
