Josephine Mary (Wood) Anderson Miller

Josephine Mary Anderson Miller (Wood) entered this world September 9, 1925 and peacefully departed on August 1, 2017 just 39 days before she would have celebrated her 92 birthday. Jo was a lover of new experiences and adventures which led her to Bermuda and travels from Canada to Florida and all states in between. She loved taking impromptu car adventures and once picked up a hitch hiking sailor thinking it could have been her son. In her later years she enjoyed visiting all the places she knew growing up in Mansfield and the surrounding areas, specifically Keuka and Lamoka in the Finger Lakes. Jo was proud of the time she spent working at Corning Glass Works, a bus driver for STSD and a driver and cook for   Head Start.

She was predeceased by her first husband Danny Anderson. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Larry E. Wood (Teresa), Denise Jo Anderson Stanbrook (Michael), Donna Jean Anderson Melusky (Eric Sr.), Jolene Marie Hall (Stephen). The delights of her life her grandchildren; Tammy, Brandon, Joshua, Ashton, Amber, Jade, Eric Jr., Alex, Erin and Emily. Great grandchildren; Dustin and Silas. In addition many beloved nieces, nephews and their children.

In all things Mom stressed patience, fairness and forgiveness. Her legacy will live on in all of us.

In accordance with her wishes, there will be a memorial celebration on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Island Park, Blossburg at 4 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Second Chance Animal Sanctuary, 725 Gee Rd. Tioga, PA  16946
