I was fortunate to grow up across the street from the Matreskis at a time when neighborhoods were comprised of true neighbors who would do anything and everything for one another. Not only was Edna an adoptive mother to the constant stream of hoodlums on the makeshift ballfield by her house, but she was a nearby source of friendship and support for my own Mom throughout her life in Blossburg. My condolences to her family; may their sweet memories of a life well-lived guide them over the rough days ahead.

I am so sorry to hear about Edna, she was a great lady and a hard worker for St Andrews Altar and Rosary Society. Thinking of all of you at this time.
