Benjamin F. Jones, 72, of Blossburg, passed peacefully away, at his home on Sunday December 30th.
Ben was born in Wellsboro October 2, 1946 to Alan and Eleanor Ridge Jones.
He served his country with the US Army as a combat soldier during the Vietnam War.
Ben and his wife Lauri have celebrated 25 years of marriage.
Ben was well known for being the owner of Ben Jones Plumbing and Heating.
Ben donated his time and service to several community organizations including serving as a board member of First Citizens Community Bank of Blossburg and served with the Blossburg Municipal Authority. Ben was a sponsor and avid supporter of A.A. Ben was an adventurer who enjoyed the outdoors and time spent with his family; and a friend to anyone who needed one. Most of all he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
In addition to his wife Lauri, Ben is survived by his children; Matthew Henry, Wellsboro, Emily (Bob) Nichols, Blossburg, Sarah (Richard) Poulin, Blossburg and Kathren (Keven) Cummings, Blossburg. Grandchildren are Kassidy, Maegan, Brionna, and Benjamin, a brother Bill Jones, Pittsburgh, and a close family friend Randy (Bub) Stanley.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Alan ( Ricky) Jones.
The family will receive friends at the Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Friday, January 4th from 3-5p.m. Funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor William Baker officiating. A luncheon will be served at the Blossburg Fire Hall immediately following the funeral service.
