Bea Grant

Bea Grant, age 84, a longtime resident of Covington, passed away Friday, May 12th, at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, from complications following surgery. The daughter of the late Francis and LaRoca(Ames) Fay.

Bea and her husband Daniel have celebrated 64 years of marriage.

She was a member of Canoe Camp Church of Christ. She was a graduate of Covington High School.

Bea worked as a bus driver, teachers’ aide, and nurses’ aide.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.  She enjoyed music, dancing, social gatherings, children and nature.

Surviving in addition to her husband Daniel, is a son, Terry Grant (Barbara), daughters; Dixie Meyer (Robert) and Penny Grant-Cohorsky (Barry), sisters; Cora Janet Enriot,  Ada Donaldson, and Sandra Garrison,  brother in-law Dale Grant(Cindy), sister in-law Stella Jean Fay, 8 grandchildren , 5 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  Bea is preceded in death by brothers: Lorren, Adrian and Richard Fay and sister Frances Calkins. She is also predeceased by many loving in-laws.

Friends and family will be received at Freeberg Funeral Home, Blossburg, Friday, May 19th from 11 a.m. until 12 noon. Funeral services will follow at noon with Minister Calvin Yoder officiating. Interment will follow at Gray Cemetery, Covington.
